Magic Sneak Attacks - UE4SS

In Oblivion, sneaky sword swings and dagger stabs get all the love. But sneaky spells? They’re just... regular spells. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing a shadowy mage, creeping in the dark and melting enemies before they even see you, well, this mod finally makes it happen.

With this mod, casting destructive spells while hidden now deals bonus damage, just like stealth attacks with weapons. Think of it as magical backstabs. Fireballs from the shadows? Twice as deadly. It’s your time, shadow caster. Oh forgot to mention it but it also works with staves.

But hey, let’s be real, there are some quirks.

Limitations you should know:

• []Only damaging spells count. If your spell doesn’t hurt, it won’t benefit. Illusion, Silence, Drain—these won’t trigger the bonus. Fire, Frost, Lightning? Those are your new best friends.

  []Touch spells are moody. For reasons only the Nine Divines understand, spells that require you to touch the enemy just won’t trigger the registred event. So... sadly no bonus damage for those, sorry!

• Magic resistance? What’s that? Because of the way the bonus damage works, enemies won’t resist it. It will hurt. A lot. Be careful not to break the game—or your immersion.

  Still, for all its quirks, this mod lets you live out the fantasy of being a magical assassin. Sneak through the shadows, unleash arcane fury, and disappear before anyone knows what hit them.

  Customization:

  As of the latest version, the mod includes a config file where you can set your own sneak attack damage multiplier. The default is 3x, which I personally recommend, but hey, it’s your game. Feel free to crank it up if you want to unleash total magical chaos. You do you.

  Just modify the value damageMultiplier found in Mods/MagicSneakAttacks/Scripts/MagicSneakAttacksConfig.lua

  Also you can configure how fast your sneak skill levels on every succesfull sneak attack.

  Installation

  This mod requires UE4SS for OblivionRemastered, which you can get here.

  It's also recomended to install Oblivion Ultra Plus v3. 2. 0

  To install, simply extract the ZIP file directly into your “Oblivion Remastered” folder.

  To make sure it’s in the right spot, check that the folder "MagicSneakAttacks" exists in: Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods

  If it’s there, you’re good to go! Launch the game and start blasting from the shadows.
