📋 About This Mod
Description
Open and close the mod menu by holding "G" while in-game. Select the armor pieces you would like to hide by clicking the checkboxes. Make sure to apply settings after you finish clicking the boxes.
Setting a slot to "auto" will always keep it hidden, regardless of whether you press the toggle key.
Setting a slot to "toggle" will allow you to freely toggle the armor on and off by pressing "G".
To change the keybind and the minimum hold-time to open the menu, navigate to the "Engine.ini" file at:
C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows
Add the following lines:
[/Game/Mods/HideArmor_P/WBP_HideArmorWidget. WBP_HideArmorWidget_C]
longPressTime=0. 5
You can find valid keybinds here. DOES NOT CURRENTLY WORK WITH CONTROLLERS
This mod will create a "HideArmorData.json" file in the following directory to save your settings between game sessions:
Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64
Manual Install
If a Vortex install doesn't work, you can manually install by following the steps below.
-
[]Install UE4SS from this mod page or install the latest experimental release from GitHub
[
]Drop the "HideArmor" folder into the "Mods" folder from the UE4SS install:Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\HideArmor
For Game Pass players, it will be: Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\WinGDK\ue4ss\Mods\HideArmor
[]Drop the "HideArmor_P" folder into the "LogicMods" folder in the following directory:
Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\LogicMods\HideArmor_P
If the "LogicMods" folder is not there, it is probably your first time installing UE4SS. Simply launch the game or make the folder yourself.
- []If you used my other mod, Hide Helmet Toggle, make sure to uninstall it before using this one. Just delete the folder from the install.
- For some odd reason, FSR3 frame generation interferes with input detection, making the toggle function unusable.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective – hides armor without sacrificing stats, perfect for fashion souls.
- Community-tested with 187 endorsements and over 5.5k downloads.
- Modular design gives you control over which slots to hide, not just all-or-nothing.
⚠️ Cons
- No mention of which game this is for – could be a compatibility headache if you assume wrong.
- Button toggle might conflict with other mods that use the same keybind.
- As a cosmetic utility, it won't add new armor or gameplay – purely visual.
For players who want to show off their character's look without bulky armor ruining the vibe. If you're into fashion over function and want to keep stats while hiding ugly gear, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for new armor content or gameplay changes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod page for the exact game it supports – don't assume it's for your current playthrough.
- If you use a mod manager, install through it to keep track of updates and uninstalls.
- Test the toggle button in a safe area to see which key it uses and rebind if needed.
