HDR Fix - Reshade Passthrough to tune native HDR

HDR Fix - Reshade Passthrough to tune native HDR. How to enable unreal native HDR and tune it properly for this game.

Steam Install-

1. First go to "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows\" open "GameUserSettings.ini" Set bUseHDRDisplayOutput=True and HDRDisplayOutputNits=<your peak brightness + 20-60> The game will never reach peak brightness on its own so you have to run it over a little. The higher the peak brightness the more you add. For HDR 1000 you need to put in 1057 or more. (mine is 410 so it looks like this HDRDisplayOutputNits=425)

2. Do the same in the AltarGameUserSetting.ini file

3. While still in the same folder open the engine.ini file and add this to it (if you already added hdr commands in this file remove them now.)

Altar. GraphicsOptions. HDR=1

r. AllowHDR=1

r. HDR. Display. MidLuminance=<Your Mid Value>

r. HDR. EnableHDROutput=1

r. HDR. UI. Luminance=203

r. HDR. Display. ColorGamut=2

r. HDR. Aces. SceneColorMultiplier=<Your monitors Peak Brightness dived by 1000>

4. Next you will need too change r. HDR. Aces. SceneColorMultiplier=<Your monitors Peak Brightness dived by 1000> The game is always stuck in HDR 1000 mode and it can not be changed by any config settings this ensures that it is gonna be in the curve of your display. (for me this is . 41)

5. You now need to find your r. HDR. Display. MidLuminance=<Your Mid Value>, open google and and type in 18% of <your monitor peak brightness>. this will give you your Mid Luminance Value (My monitor being 410 nit the mid luminance value is 73. 8.) 1000 = 180, 600 = 108 and 400 = 72. I know this looks like a high value but again the game is stuck at HDR 1000 this change insures mid luminance is in curve. (You can also do 20% if you want it a little brighter)

6. Next you need to install reshade then go and get these 2 shaders or install them through the reshade isntall gui

https://github.com/Filoppi/PumboAutoHDR Only install the shader .fx files you do not want to install the addon. (This caps Peak brightness at a set value and helps with the SDR menus and Fog washout.)

7. Now that you have reshade and the 2 shaders installed properly, download and install the appropriate reshade preset from this mod page that matches your monitors peak brightness and drop it in "<yourgamepath>\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Bin
