Beastfolks are blessed with claws.

However, Humans and Mers weren't shipped with fingernail meshes. Just blurred bogus textures are there to deceive our eyes.

This fact has annoyed me since April 22, 2025.

This mod addresses the issue.

Ver 2. 0 is standalone.

Purchase them from Maro Rufus at the Best Defense in the Market District.

They are categorized as light armor gauntlets.

I started with a replacer.

This mod currently replaces the glass gauntlets.  For female Humanoids and Mers only.

If you don't have one, open the console command (press ~) and copy & paste the following.

player. AddItem 00036340 1

Requirements

1.  UE4SS for OblivionRemastered

2. UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector

Installation

1. Install UE4SS for OblivionRemastered

2. Install UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector

3. Download the main file

4 Use MO2 or Vortex and check FingernailsOfOblivion.esp (must be placed under AltarESPMain.esp  and above AltarDeluxe.esp)

5. Or, manually, unzip and find the following location.

SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\

XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content\

6. Copy the unzipped folder and paste in the location.

7. Make sure to add FingernailsOfOblivion.esp to your Plugins.txt esp list between AltarESPMain.esp  and AltarDeluxe.esp

Known issues

=================

OBR 1st person camera mode is very buggy in that when there is a static mesh around you within 1m radius from your body, anything on your hands such as the fingernails and rings tend to disappear momentarily. This never happens in a wide open space. A very strange and annoying vanilla bug which needs to be fixed in an official patch.
