📋 About This Mod
Forces NPCs to show a specified emotion to a specified intensity, constantly. Defaults to every NPC being really surprised all the time, but is adjustable through a config file. Requires UE4SS.
I wanted more NPCs to use the intense face of surprise that some NPCs use sparingly. Very notably, Savlian Matius graces players with it a few times early in the Main Quest. This mod forces all NPCs to maintain a face of shock and surprise 100% of the time. By default, it is a high intensity Surprise emotion, applied to every NPC, but you can opt out NPCs of your choice, use different emotions (Disgust is particularly silly), and adjust the intensity of the emotion. The current implementation applies the emotion repeatedly and overrides other emotions, so needless to say, the Persuasion minigame is a little more difficult.
The mod requires UE4SS.
Configurable options in the config.lua file:
- []DebugLogging - Forces on some debug messages to help diagnose issues.
-
[]Emotion - Sets which emotion to force upon NPCs. Use the numeric values in the config, not the text name of the emotions.
[] Neutral: 0
[]Anger: 1
[]Disgust: 2
[]Fear: 3
[]Sad: 4
[]Happy: 5
[]Surprise: 6
- []Intensity (Set to 5 by default) - Intensity of the emotion. 0-1 seems very safe, but NPCs seem to have varying amounts of facial animation blending so some NPCs need more to get really weird.
- IgnoreList - List of names of Actors to ignore. By default, the player is ignored, as well as the duplicate copy of the player in your inventory. You can identify the name that the NPC Actor has in-game by opening the Console menu and clicking on an NPC. Use the BP_<name> portion of the name.
Careful using this in combination with extreme facial sliders, as it seems like stretching faces too far can cause crashes. There might also be some NPCs that don't play well with this mod. Let me know and add the NPC to your IgnoreList and I'll update the mod when I get a chance. Additionally, I can't make any guarantees about compatibility with other mods.
