Easy Dodge Button with optional Jumping Dodge and Attack Cancel

Description

Easy Dodge Button adds a simple dodge with one button press to Oblivion Remastered. Use it to dodge without needing to block first. Choose any keyboard, mouse, or gamepad button. You can set it to Hold to Sprint or Hold to Crouch mode too. Hold to Sprint might be nice for Dark Souls and Elden Ring players. Mod is not AI generated.

New optional Jumping Dodge version:

Jump, Air Dodge, and take control of the skies! Adjust Air Dodge Force for powerful directional momentum and Air Dodge Lift for added vertical thrust. Disable cooldowns to chain aerial dodges for flight-like movement. Fully customizable with config.lua of course I can't really recommend inputting ridiculously high values. This might lead to trouble I won't deliver support for.

Installation instructions

1. Install UE4SS for OblivionRemastered if you haven't already. It's a mandatory requirement. I use version v3. 0. 1-447. To install open UE4SS-32-3-0-1-447-1752753994.zip, extract ue4ss folder and dwmapi.dll next to OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe for example in this folder: C:\Oblivion\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64 but wherever you installed Oblivion. Another example C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\

2. Extract my Easy Dodge Button mod here Oblivion Remastered/OblivionRemastered/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/ or alternatively right click Oblivion Remastered's shortcut, select open file location in the drop down menu. Go into the UE4SS folder, then inside the Mods folder. Double click EasyDodgeButton.zip you downloaded. Drag my mods folder named EasyDodgeButton from the zip file into the Mods folder we opened earlier. Enable it in your UE4SS mod manager if you use one.

3. Easiest in game configuration: Is setting crouch to R3 in Oblivion Remastered's own menu. Then you can use xbox B which is the same as PlayStation O to dodge without changing anything in config.lua You may want to put change view on a keyboard button like numpad0 in game settings. Then map a button like Right Touch Pad to numpad0 in DS4Windows, or in your Xbox or other brands controller software. Check the controller software's manual or google before asking questions in comments on how to do that please.

Optional: Pick a button. List of Key/Gamepad Input Names Choose any keyboard, mouse, or gamepad button and dodge in config.lua. Config.lua is inside my mods folder named: EasyDodgeButton and then inside the Scripts folder.

Hold to Sprint or Hold to Crouch mode. You can set it to Hold to Sprint or Hold to Crouch mode too there. By changing below line in config.lua with a text editor. Here are the three examples:

Dodge on press:

shared_functionality = ""

Hold to Crouch:

shared_functionality = "Crouch"

Hold to Sprint:

shared_functionality = "Sprint"

Remember to match Sprint or Crouch button in your in game settings to the exact same button as the dodge button you choose in config.lua or it won't work. For more info read comments inside config.lua please. Default is mouse 5 and gamepad B on Xbox or O on PlayStation. 4. Become an acrobat. You need to have 25 points in Acrobatics. You should start training if you don't have 25 points in Acrobatics yet. Without in game dodge ability unlocked it won't work. For that you need 25 points in Acrobatics, which is easily gained by jumping and running around or just playing.

Check config.lua if you want to configure things differently.

I couldn’t use the other mod for this without crashing, so I made something for myself.
