📋 About This Mod
A travel hub with a container and a bed, between the realms of every daedric prince. Designed for "just for fun", NG+, power fantasy or balanced runs, orientation/bearings, alternate start, neutral/mythic dawn run (leave gates open!), See
This mod is built for a return tour to the Oblivion planes of TES:IV.
This conquered sigil keep or citadel tower belongs to Prince Sheogorath, once Hero of Kvatch, a chosen champion of Akatosh.
Only a madman would play this game twice. This may or may not be you.
You may or may not want to complete the main quest or the daedric quests, but you deserve your own way-station in the outer realms. With a bed and a safe storage.
the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you’ve created for yourself.
***I am only able to help you with what happens to your save’s quests (stages, screen prompts, and dialogue) if you enter up to the “Dagonshrine” interior from Tamriel. The Tamriel doors are the only safe ones to enter and exit from. Every other door is the equivalent of you opening the console to teleport to or from an otherwise unreachable worldspace. I have tips for safe usage, but I consider just these specific breaks to be a basegame feature. Any additional fixes implemented in my mod to address these issues would be the equivalent of a true bugfix for Oblivion, as many bugfixers implement certain unreachable fixes "just in case".
House Instructions: There is a bed at the top :)
There is safe storage only in the Ayleid chest in the middle of the room, beneath a very loud ayleid well :)
This loads the umap for OblivionRD004CitadelLeftLord so npc's can enter, like followers.
Watch out for the spikes on the lawn :)
There are not actually 90 realms of Mehrunes Dagon in this game. There are like 10: I have reduced them to star doors like it's princess peach's castle foyer.
SKULL DOORS - referred to as the Random Oblivion Worlds, these respawn their sigil stones.
Safe, farmable, might want to wait 3+ ingame days before entering another randomly opened gate from tamriel the right way.
You're not supposed to be in here!
QUEST DOORS - Quest-specific standard oblivion planes of Mehrunes Dagon that have a sigil stone, these are the ones you can never return to in the vanilla game. These sigil stones DO NOT respawn.
If you enter these before entering the gate via the story quest, stuff breaks. :)
If you take the sigil stone before doing the story quest, the nine divines have abandoned you :)
See Articles section for my playtest notes I learned all this from!
Oblivion Gates, Sigil Stones, and you
- Sigil stones cause near-blindness until you leave the "Citadel Lord's Room" interior cell you grabbed it in through a loading screen door. This is just a player effect.
