📋 About This Mod
Description (PLEASE READ):
I always wondered to myself: "It sure does suck when you find a really cool looking piece of armor but
find it statistically sucks. Man, why is the worst looking armor is always the best? Wouldn't it be cool
if you could wear leather armor with the Savior's Hide and not die a minute into a battle?"
Well for those who ever shared my sentiments, you're now in luck! Tiered Armor is a small mod which adds
variants of all the standard armor types which are now statistically equal to the best standard armor types.
IE: New daedric armor that looks like dwarven armor, New glass armor that looks like leather.
The new armor sets all have unique names so the player can tell them apart from the standard types of armor
and can be all accessed from the testinghall (see below if you don't know how to get there).
The armor types can currently only be aces via that manner and can't be found in the regular gameworld.
Software Requirements:
-Oblivion. Just, vanilla oblivion!
Instalation:
1. You probably want to make sure you have Oblivion first.
2. Unpack the folder
3. Download to your oblivion folder which is normally:
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data
4. Start up oblivion and check off "Tiered Armor" in data files (which should be there if
you did step 3 correctly).
5. Now you can play my mod!
- Version 1. No updates yet.
- To acess the testinghall you will need to perform console commands. First press the tilde key " ~ "
The game should freeze up as if you paused it. Notice the bottom left corner of the screen has a
text prompt.
Then type the following in:
coc testinghall
If you did it correctly you will be transported to the testinghall.
Search the outside line of doors for the "Armor Warehouse". It is located left of the player once
they reach the testinghall.
Once you go inside go through the trapdoor to another, more empty room. Here you can pick your armor.
When you are ready to leave, go through the trapdoor again, then the floating door in the wall, to
get back to the main, square room.
Go to the inner square and find "Hawkhaven"
Once you are in Hawkhaven you may use the fast-travel system to escape.
- I consider this mod to not be one of those unfair mods, which reward the player with ridiculous items
and can easily ruin an experience and question legitimacy of gameplay. I often think to myself that
I must play the game like how an X-box player would be limited to it. However because the mod simply
equps the player with differently looking glass or daedric armor, there is no statistical advantage
and no illigitiment gain. I would find that this mod only increase
