Introduction A long time ago the powerful Ilithiel was finally overcome and captured by her enemies. Her soul was partly ripped from her body, leaving her neither dead nor living. For ages she was being tortured. One day a brave hero ventured a quest to end her torment. Sadly, it turned out the only way to free Ilithiel from her enemies\' grip was to retrieve her soul with an unique, powerful black soul gem. Now, bound to this soul gem for eternity, Ilithiel burns with a fiery wrath while still being grateful for escaping her previous torment. Ilithiel is proud and wilful, only those strong at will themselves can make her wield her full powers. She can take over nearly any weapon and use it to strike at foes with the most damaging magic. Ilithiel is true to those who prove worthy and uses her magic to protect them. She expects to be treated respectfully and will unleash her full might upon someone betraying her trust. 2. Motivation A long time I was using the daedric artifact sword Goldbrand and was rather happy with it. But finally I became a little bored and wanted something different. I thought it would be nice to have a weapon that behaved \"intelligent\", was able to find out an enemy\'s resistances and weaknesses on its own. So I picked up Oblivion scripting. I spent quite some time finding my way around, but one day I had something that was more or less what I had in mind. I ran around with my new \'intelligent\' sword and had a good laugh at Zombies nicely going up in flames and other creatures that had their weaknesses cleverly identified on being hit. After a while I found some sword meshes I liked very much and wanted to use for my personal all-time weapon. First I thought of just changing the meshes of my weapon, but somehow a new idea got stuck in my mind: why not create something so that just any weapon can be made behave intelligent. I always considered the concept of magic being powered by souls, items being enchanted by binding souls to them, rather fascinating. So I decided to stick to that concept when realising my new idea and started to create Ilithiel and her soul gem. After a lot more time, again I had something that was close enough to what I wanted. This time I thought I\'d like to share it. 3. Disclaimer I have been using this mod with my character for quite a while now and tested every feature. It seems to work OK. But I
