📋 About This Mod
Name: The Secrets Of Blacksmithing Version: 2. 0 Date: 11/26/2010 Category: Buildings Author(s): Piepenguin1995 Source: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35472 Description =========== This mod adds a working smithy near Weye and the forge of a master smith in the mountains where you can create the vanilla iron, steel, chainmail, silver, Dwarvern, Mithril, fur and leather weapons and armour by using previously useless items such as metal bowls, silver carafes, wolf pelts etc. Location ======== Cell -1, 14 on the riverbank in Weye, just across the bridge from the Imperial City, and cell 39, 28 in the Valus Mountains directly North-East of Cheydinhal. Details ======= Weye Smithy ========== The smithy features an anvil and an indoor and outdoor forge. The \"Big Book of Blacksmithing\", \"The Little Book of Leather\" and \"The Fabulous Book of Fur\" to your right when you enter the building describe exactly how to do it, but here are the basics: Metal ===== -Put any vanilla clutter with metal or silver in it\'s name into the \"Forge Container\"(The barrel by the forge). -Activate it and select \"Melt Items\". -This gives you metal (iron or silver) nuggets. -Put bonemeal and iron nuggets in the outdoor forge, activate it then select \"make steel\" to make a steel nugget. 1 bonemeal + 1 iron nugget = 1 steel nugget. -Activate the anvil and select what material you wish to use and then what you want ot make. -If you have enough nuggets of the correct type, you will recieve that item. -Calipers, tongs and a repair hammer are needed to make the armour and weapons. Fur and Leather =============== -Put your lion, bear or/and wolf pelts into the Tanning container. -For leather, activate the tanner and select \"Tan Hides\" to convert the pelts into tanned hides. -For fur, activate the tanner and select \"Split up Hides\" instead, to convert the pelts into fur pelts. -Take the fur pelts or tanned hides to the leather and fur making anvil to turn them into fur or leather armour, respectively. -Calipers, shears and a repair hammer are needed to make the armour. Master Smithy ============= The Master Smithy features everything the Smithy in Weye hase, but lets you make Dwarven and Mithril Armour and Weapons too. It adds a mine where you can get the necessary ore, and also a fully furnished house. The smithy can only be entered if you have an Armorer skill of 50 or more, however. There are also more rewards when your Armorer skill reaches 75. -All of the containers except the Forge Container and Outdoor Forge Container are safe to store your things in, so you could live in the smithy if you wanted. -Time is fast forwarded by 1/2 hour for every nugget used, as making things isn\'t instantaneous! -Happy Blacksmithing! Install ======= 1. Copy files to (install folder)\\Oblivion\\Data\\ 2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click \'Data Files\', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s). Uninstall ========
