📋 About This Mod
Simple Sunglare with Lens Flare
· - = | Description | = - ·
This is just a simple retexture of the Oblivion sunglare.
ENB has this amazing lens flare that appears when you look at the sun in certain angles, but I can't use ENB, so I tried to find myself a replacement.
Unlike ENB:
-
[]This one is static, it will always look the same.
[
]It will appear every time you look at the sun. The intensity depends on the weather. - It will not work with (weather) mods that change the path to the climate's sun texture.
I don't know of any mods beside NAO that do the latter, and the textures have already been placed in a way that they work with both, vanilla and NAO climate.

A working Archive Invalidation, for example SkyBSA.

Copy the contents of the archive into the Oblivion\Data Folder (you really should use a mod manager for this).
There is no Esp.

Make sure the files that came with this mod are removed from your Oblivion\Data folder.
That's why mod managers are nice.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge download count (154k) shows it's a go-to for many players.
- Lightweight retexture—won't tax your system like ENB mods.
- Simple install: just drop the texture files in place.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021—may not be tested with the latest Oblivion patches.
- Only changes the sunglare; if you want more visual overhauls, this won't do much.
- No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind on the look.
For Oblivion players who want a quick, subtle visual upgrade to the sun without messing with heavy mods. Perfect if you're doing a light modded playthrough and want a bit more flair. Skip if you're after a full graphics overhaul—this is a single texture swap.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your original sunglare texture before overwriting, so you can revert if you don't like the look.
- If you use a mod manager like OBMM or Wrye Bash, you can install this as a package for easy uninstall.
- Check the mod's comments section for user screenshots—since the description lacks images, other players often post them.
