📋 About This Mod
Simple Set Bonuses
Requirements:
xOBSE
Description
This mod adds a skill bonus when wearing a matching set of light or heavy armour. The intention is that this will encourage roleplaying, rather than just equipping the best armour you can find.
Unlike similar mods, this mod also supports enchanted and mod-added items.
To get the bonuses, your must be wearing at least three pieces of the same armour set, and also not be wearing any armour from a different set. Shields and clothing items are ignored, so that you can freely complement your outfit with any of these items.
The bonus abilities are:
-
[]Light Armor - "Swiftguard" +10 Light Armor, +8 Athletics, +8 Acrobatics
[
]Heavy Armor - "Sternclad" +10 Heavy Armor, +8 Athletics, +8 AcrobaticsThe armour skill boosts should provide a small bonus to rating and helps you to achieve mastery bonuses early. These effects are intended to simulate armour being more protective and easy to move in when the pieces match and fit together better.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple concept that adds depth to armor choices without overhauling the game.
- Decent community traction with 222 endorsements and over 24k downloads.
- Actively maintained (last updated March 2024).
⚠️ Cons
- May require compatibility patches for major armor mods, but none are mentioned.
- Limited to light and heavy armor sets—no support for other types like robes or hybrid sets.
For players who want a straightforward incentive to wear matching armor sets, especially those who enjoy min-maxing skills. If you're into role-playing or want more meaningful gear choices, this is a nice addition. Skip if you prefer total overhauls or don't care about set bonuses.
