Quick Start for Everyone

DESCRIPTION

I know there are some mods here that allow you to skip the tutorial dungeon. I tested most of them. And I found a few things in each one that don't suit me. Firstly, I did this mod for myself, however, I decided to share it with everybody now.

So what will happen when you load the save? You will appear in front of the exit from the sewers, fully equipped for your journey. When you activate the door, you may change your appearance, birth sign, and class to your liking.

The next section will describe the core rules I obeyed when walking through the tutorial dungeon.

• []No skills upgrade. That means I just ran through the dungeon without armor and weapons equipped, killing foes and opening locks with console commands. The only two skills may have a slight raise, Athletics and Acrobatics, but I made sure to set them to the starting values for each race.

  []Smart looting. I've looted everything in a way I always do - price/weight = 10/1 with a few exceptions:

• []I limited the number of arrows to 100 to reduce total encumbrance.

  []The number of each ingredient and the torches that you can find there is limited to 5.

  []You will have a full set of leather armor and iron armor (including shields) and a full range of iron weapons (including Goblin-shaman's staff).

  []Some characters may have a yarn in their inventories. I usually collect one for the Sheogorath's Daedra Quest. So it may be useful for you too.

  []Some characters may have some extra clothing. The idea to dress them in something different than sack cloth came at the late development stage. The clothing wasn't chosen specifically, it was found randomly in the crates and boxes of the dungeon.

• []I tried to go through as much as possible tutorial and DLC quest messages, so you won't have to.

  []Every character got the default appearance for his/her race.

  REQUIREMENTS

  Oblivion with all DLCs - The presence of DLC does not matter much.

  OBSE - Optional, see Installation section.

  INSTALLATION

  • []Download the archive for your race.

    []Inside each archive, there are two folders either for males and females. Chose which one you want.

    []Drag the .ess file to your Saves folder. It is at C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\ by default.

    []If you use OBSE and its mods, drag the .obse file to the same place.
