Off-borders camp

Description

After an unknown event, probably some side effect of an add-on, I found being able to trespass the official frontiers of Oblivion!

I explored a lot as there are LOTS of lands out there, though nothing more than landscape, trees, grass and rocks -and not always all of them.

All the same, there is an awful amount of unused land, ready to be populated :)

Here is a little addition of mine, with all the amenities required for a quiet time:

a tent with a comfy bed, some decoration, one non-respawning chest and one respawning sack, a number of mushrooms behind the tent, fire, fine wine…

To go there, head due south of Kvatch until you find the river, then go upstream a bit. You'll soon find the way to cross the river.

Requirements

1) Oblivion… EVEN the very first version.

I made this add-on for a friend still using that old version. He won't care updating. Believe it or not, he is still using a 54Kbits modem for Internet "access"!!!!

2) Disable the borders (excerpt from Nexus Forums):

Go here: C:\users\your user name\My documents\my games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini , find bEnableBorderRegion=1 and change the 1 to a 0.

Instructions

Unzip, toss into your Data folder, and use whatever you usually use to enable it and select the loading order.

Compatibility

========================

Will be -of course- conflicting with anything modifying the land at the same place.

The wooden stairs aren't always fully fitting… there are gaps which DO NOT show in the CS render window!

Also the stone walls (left side and right side) could be better aligned. Not easy when one side is invisible. Well, plus I am a noob with the CS!

Other features

========================

1) A rock you can SIT on. While nosing with the CS, I found 2 instances of a seat-rock. Both are in the Chorrol Oblivion world, one being under the surface of the lava. No idea why they were never used anywhere in the game!

Must say they are bugged in the earlier version of Oblivion: they go away like a balloon when trying to sit.

2) Added a bed and cleared the door to Volanaro's bedroom in the destructed basement for the Mages Guild at Bruma. Also updated Selena Oriana (dead version) so she will access again to her merchant chest, and go to sleep in this bed.

However, her behavior is erratic :/

3) Changed a bit the AI for Rolgarel (Agarmir hireling) after the "Unfriendly Competition" quest is over.

If Rolgarel happens to survive the fight, he'll wander where you "call" him, instead of staying forever into the Mausoleum.
