📋 About This Mod
Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Replaces the grass textures with an Atlas one, for better performance, following the method of maczopikczo, HERE is better explained what it does, so i just adapted the textures/meshes from Oblivion Grass Overhaul.
I might have changed one or two textures, but overall is the same as the original and it also includes the Shivering Isles

I claim no rights on the meshes/textures of this mod, they all belong to their original authors, this mod is just a "patch" to have a little more performance.

Oblivion Grass Overhaul - Atlas Textures replaces the game's grass textures with an atlas texture to improve performance. With 569 endorsements and nearly 80,000 downloads, it's a popular optimization mod for Oblivion players seeking better frame rates without sacrificing visual quality.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Performance boost is the main draw—atlas textures reduce draw calls, so you'll likely see smoother gameplay in grassy areas.
- Community-approved with 569 endorsements and nearly 80k downloads, so it's a trusted pick for Oblivion modders.
- Lightweight and focused—does one thing and does it well, no bloat or extra features to fiddle with.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in April 2021, so it might not be tested with the latest Oblivion patches or mods.
- Visual change is subtle; if you're expecting a dramatic grass overhaul, this isn't it—it's purely for performance.
For Oblivion players who want better performance in grassy areas without a major visual overhaul. If you're running a modded setup and struggle with frame drops outdoors, this is a quick fix. Skip if you're looking for prettier grass or gameplay changes—this is purely a performance mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture replacer, just drop the files into your Oblivion Data folder and make sure the textures overwrite any conflicting mods.
- If you use a mod manager like OBMM or Wrye Bash, install it through that to keep your load order clean and easily reversible.
- Pair this with other performance mods like a reduced grass density ini tweak for even better FPS in the countryside.
