Intrepid explorers and adventurers have trekked from one end of Cyrodiil to the other, yet the beginning player is left without any hint of what is out there. This mod serves to change that by adding maps to the world. The original map of Cyrodiil was drawn up by the legendary explorer, Weston the Cartographer. His work was said to encompass every point of interest in the land. His grandson, Ny, attempted to take up his mantle in compensation for a deed that he regretted for the rest of his tragic life. You may find these maps in various bookstores, but they can also be found on the bodies of explorers and adventurers just like yourself. All the maps are hand-placed, but there is a leveled-list included to add some randomization to merchants’ goods. Maybe that can also be added to the Bashed Patch. Most maps cover only specific areas. For instance there is a dead adventurer west of Skingrad that had managed to cover most of the southwest before meeting his end by the bandits there. The First Edition has a very valuable and famous map and there is another map located in a one well-known Ayleid ruin that’s part of the main quest. This latter one reveals a tragic story that is attached to the former map. All you have to do when you find or buy a map is to select it in your menu and the map markers will be added. You will NOT be able to fast travel to the sites added to your map. You must still find them first. This mod was built upon leman’s excellent Add Map Marker Mod. I really liked the idea, but wanted something a little more immersive.
