📋 About This Mod
Loosens the restrictions placed on many Fighters Guild rumors so that they can be heard more frequently.
Imperial Porters
Bethesda wrote an incredible amount of generic rumors related to the Fighters Guild. Most of these are used by members of the guild, while others are used by the general populace. Not so incredibly, however, most of these lines are locked behind strict conditions and can usually only be heard briefly between various Fighters Guild contracts. Unless you take long pauses between each contract, there is barely any window for you to even get to hear them. Even worse, most of the lines were only recorded for Imperial males, of which there are only five in the Fighters Guild. Two of them are tucked away in the unused Fighters Guild halls of Leyawiin and Skingrad, while another—Viranus Donton—lacks access to many of the lines and generally does not leave his home. This leaves two (TWO!!!) NPCs from which you could realistically expect to hear the lines: Rufrius Vinicius in Anvil and the Fighters Guild Porter in Chorrol (who, for some reason, is an Imperial instead of a Breton like all the other porters).
To allow these lines to be heard more frequently, Imperial Porters changes the race of all Fighters Guild Porters from Breton to Imperial. It also painstakingly adjusts the lines' conditions (believe me, there was much pain), removing redundant ones and expanding the windows in which the lines are able to be heard. Furthermore, the mod adds new potential responses to most of the rumors when they are spoken in conversations with other NPCs.
I never want to see another line of dialogue again. What am I even doing with my life?
CompatibilityI had to reorder the conditions on the lines for the sake of organization and my own sanity. As such, the mod may look like a mess in xEdit, but it is not an issue. Changes from the Unofficial Oblivion Patch (3. 5. 8) have been taken into account.
