📋 About This Mod

UPDATE 27. 07. 2008 ================= SkirtMachine added. Growlfs Blender Machines version 1 ================================== Description ----------- The Blender Bone Weight Copy (BWC) script allowes to copy the weightpainting from an object to another object. So it\'s possible to weightpaint a new built mesh nearly with one click. The problem is that original meshes contain low polygon count. That\'s why the vertex distances are relatively high. And the weights are located at vertices, not at faces. So if you use an original mesh as parent for the BWC script the results often are great differences in weights from one vertex to the next. Those differences appear ingame as kinks in the mesh. I build my \"machines\" to - lower those weight leaps - create smooth meshes - lower the amount of weights per vertex at some regions (NIFskope only accepts up to 4) - add additional weights for better movement of mesh (HEAD bone for example in WigMachines) - smooth the weights (FullbodyMachine) Content ------- This .nif file contains - CuirassMachine for absolutely smooth weightpainting of upperbody items (without arms and legs) - FullbodyMachine for weight smoothing of fullbody items - WigMachine version 2 to create rigged hair - WigMachinePonytail to rigg tails separately - LongBraidMachine to rigg extra long braids - LowerArmMachine to create absolutely smooth lower arm items - SkirtMachine for smooth rigging of Skirts and robes, preallocated with weights from Growlfs Hotbody 5. 0 Juvenile - a nearly complete set of bones (except helper bones and NECK), based on CuteUnits ImportReadyBody to get anatomical correct bone array in Blender - a complete body Using of the .nif ================= Because the Machines are slightly different weightpainted from original body it\'s recommended to create your mesh a little bit wider than the body below. Delete all parts from the .nif you don\'t need in Blender and/ or transplant needed parts into the .nif. Then import it into Blender as .nif additionally to your new built mesh. Bind your new built mesh to the armature (CTRL+P > Armature > Name Groups) and assign a texture (F5, F6). Then run the Bone Weight Copy script with the Machine as parent and your mesh as target. Recommended script level is 3 or better. WigMachine/ WigMachinePonytail/ LongBraidMachine ------------------------ To create wigs it\'s recommended to rework original meshes for example from Ren or 2ch: - increase the amount of vertices especially in neck region (Knife tool, Subdivide, Subsurf). Subsurfing in Blender 2. 4. 6 don\'t destroyes weights or UVmaps any longer. - Remove the duplicated layers. - Split the mesh into different objects (P button) if needed for using of different machines (for example for 2ch Hair Ponytail). FullbodyMachine --------------- Big problem in fullbody items is to manually create a smooth weightpainting. You can use the fullbody machine to copy
