Fire Daemons

This mod adds Fire Daemons from The Elder Scrolls: Arena (or at least monsters inspired by them) to conjurer dungeons and Oblivion Gate leveled lists.

As far as I'm aware, this is the third attempt at adding the Fire Daemons from TES: Arena into Oblivion.

The first attempt was in More Creatures - Dragon Break Edition by coloring a minotaur green... interesting.

The second attempt was in Conjurer Fire Daemons by taking an Argonian and setting him on fire. Creative, but not quite there.

So this mod is yet another attempt at bringing this monster into Oblivion.

While its closer than the previous attempts, I don't think its a perfect match, but it does look pretty cool!

It is 100% immune to fire and normal weapons, is equipped with some higher level fire spells,

and carries a unique Fire Daemon's Axe weapon (created from a modified Crescent Axe model). The weapon has the same stats as Battle Axe of the Inferno, except it deals 28 points of damage instead of 26.

They begin to spawn around level 25.

The mesh was created from a heavily modified Balrog from Midas Magic  Spells of Aurum by xilver.

The skin textures are recolored daedroth skin textures.

The horn/hooves textures were created by merging several different pics of goat horns I found on google.

The mouth/eyes/nose texture was created from some lava textures from google.

The tooth textures were taken from bone textures found on google.

About that tail...

Unfortunately, that long tail does not move. I had issues in general with the tail of this monster.

So when I first created this creature, I had it set to use the Balrog skeleton from Midas Magic Spells of Aurum/Martigen's Monster Mod 3. 8.

For some reason, the creature kept showing up invisible in game, no matter how much I tinkered with it, so I assigned it the vanilla Minotaur skeleton instead.

Doing that caused the Fire Daemon to show up in game, but its tail was all messed up.

My first version of this monster used the bovine Minotaur style tail that the Midas Magic Spells of Aurum/Martigen's Monster Mod 3. 8 Balrog mesh has.

For some reason, the tail was sticking straight out from between its legs, like it had an erect dingaling.

I have very limited knowledge of bone weight painting in Blender, but I examined the bone weights and they looked normal.

I couldn't figure out how to get the tail to look normal, so I assigned its weights to the spine bones, instead of the tail bones.

This fixed the issue, but resulted in a completely stiff tail.

Since then, I have elongated the tail and removed the tufts so that it looks more like Arena's Fire Daemon's tail.

It still doesn't move, and if I wanted it to move, I assume I'd either need more bone weight painting skills, need a custom skeleton, need custom animations,
