📋 About This Mod
ABOUT PROJECT AMBIENCE: These city-specific mods are just proofs of concept for testing and ideas (and should be treated as such) I will hopefully add to the actual P. A. (tweaked and improved). The actual mod will contain (for its urban part) many fx per city as appriopriate (no snow in Cheydinal for instance, no dust clouds in Bruma, etc). They are very rough and de facto incomplete. But I thought I'd release them anyway. Official Thread: here
DESCRIPTION: This mod adds some falling leaves to some of the green trees of the city of Chorrol.
I did NOT go on a rampage adding tons of fx, it's not at all comparable to Cara's Falling Leaves. I added only to: Great Oak-medium fx Pine Trees- light fx other oaks-light fx Maple trees: light fx Not ALL the trees have them. I left alone the tall, long-leaf type (don't know what they are) and alsp the ones protected from wind, such as in close proximity to the city walls etc.
Subdued (you'll forget about pine needles probably) yet very immersive.
I used Vaper's resources and the same folder structure as Falling Leaves which is one of my favourite mods from way back when.
In fact this Project is sort of a continuation and further implementation of their idea.
Why only leaves? Why not snow? But what about dust particles fx, pollen, or good old regular dust from fires?
If tweaked in the right manner, the possibilities are many.
Check the pictures.. also added a video in 1080p.
REQUIREMENTS: None at the moment. Not even Falling Leaves.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective: adds a subtle atmospheric touch without overhauling the game
- Community-approved: 121 endorsements from 2,130 downloads shows it works for many players
- Light on resources: just a few falling leaves, so no performance hit
⚠️ Cons
- Limited scope: only affects some trees in Chorrol, not the whole world
- No screenshots or detailed description, so you're flying blind on what it looks like
- Last updated in 2015 — may have compatibility issues with modded setups or newer patches
For Oblivion players who want a touch of nature in Chorrol without a big overhaul. If you're a purist looking for subtle immersion boosts, this is a nice pick. Skip if you want dramatic visual changes or gameplay effects.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a simple mod, just drop the files into your Data folder and enable it in the launcher or mod manager.
- If you use a mod manager like OBMM or Wrye Bash, install it there to keep track of it easily.
- Check for conflicts with other mods that alter Chorrol's trees or city layout, as they might override the changes.
