📋 About This Mod

The Imperial Palace is at the center of the Empire, politically and geographically. Yet the Elder Council Chambers are empty, even though the Empire is enduring one of its worst crises. I thought it needed to be filled up a bit... Here you go, the 30 seats of the Elder Council Chambers are occupied as follows: - Ambassadors from the nine Provinces and a Representative of Cyrodiil. - Two Imperial Legion Generals. - Two high-ranked Fighters Guild members. - Two high-ranked Mages Guild members. - One Primate and one Theurgist of the Imperial Cult of the Nine Divines. - Eight Councillors from the Nobility. - One Delegate of the People The three remaining seats are Ocato\'s, Emperor Uriel Septim\'s and one seat for guests of honor, in front of the Emperor. If you played Morrowind, you\'ll probably notice that some characters were taken from Morrowind. Im-Kilaya was in the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart and got a promotion, Frald the White served in the Legion before serving his Province as Ambassador, Darius was a Legion Commander in Gnisis, Tuls Varen was a high-ranked member of the Dunmeri Temple before being chosen by the Great Houses as Ambassador, Eydis Fire-Eye led the Fighters Guild in Balmora, Edwinna Elbert was in the Ald\'ruhn Mages Guild, Socucia Ergalla\'s brother worked in the Census & Excise Office of Seyda Neen, and I don\'t need to present you the Duke Vedam Dren: he clearly deserves his seat in the Elder Council Chambers. Also, the Baron gro-Nagorm is from the family of the King of Orsinium. NOTE: Don\'t mind the messy hair on some screenshots, it\'s just my graphic card being too old for Oblivion. Installation ------------ 1. Extract the archive to Oblivion\'s Data folder. 2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, check the \'Elder Council Plugin \'box. Uninstall --------- Delete the following files: Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Characters/_male/skeletonbeast.nif Oblivion/Data/Elder Council Readme.txt Oblivion/Data/Elder Council Plugin.esp Incompatibility --------------- None. However, I advise you to disable this mod in the last part of the Main Quest, to prevent harcore lag and (very) annoying bugs. History ------- - 10-23-2006 v1. 0 Initial release. - 10-30-2006 v1. 1 Removed Councillors from the Cyrodiilic cities. Removed one Legion Commander. Added 8 Councillors from the nobility. Added one Imperial Cult Councillor. Added one delegate of the People. Added names to every member of the Council. Use of the mod -------------- Feel free to include this mod in your own mod and/or modify it as you want, I\'d only prefer that you ask me before doing so. Thanks. Enjoy, -GandalfTheGrey

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place the .esp file in your Oblivion Data folder and activate it in the launcher's Data Files menu.
  • Load order matters: put this early to avoid conflicts with other mods that edit the Imperial Palace.
  • If you use a mod manager like Wrye Bash, use BOSS or LOOT to sort your load order for stability.
