📋 About This Mod
This overrides the Mehrunes Custom Effect (DUMY) with one that has a better name, sounds, visuals, and can be used by the player, and adds several basic spells to the Leyawin mages guild.
This mod changes the magic effect used by Mehrunes Dagon into one which can be used by the player or other NPCs. The magic effect DUMY its vanilla state just causes damage in an area without any visuals or sounds. The changes made to this effect include; Changed name to \"Kinetic Damage\" Adding sounds Adding visuals Adding an enchant shader Making it resisted by \"resist normal weapons\" as opposed to \"resist magic\" Making it part of Mysticism instead of Destruction Adding spell costs slightly higher than vanilla damage spells (8. 0) Allowing use in both spellmaking and enchanting The sounds and visuals are meant to infer the effect as being more like a raw magicka attack, it crackles like lightning, but packs a punch. With an enchantment, the shader makes use of sporadic particles without any noticable membrane. Being a Mysticism based damage spell, it will give a bit more use to an otherwise ignored school, and given its looks and usage is relativly appropriate for this school. Due to how it is resisted, the spell will be useless on ghosts and other actors with a high resistance to normal weapons, but can be rather potent against things which have a high resistance to magic. Additionally, a few autocalc target based spells have been added to the Leyawin mages guild. The novice version is flagged as a PC startspell, and will be added to you upon entry to the Leyawin mages guild. Other spells may be purchased from the spell dealer in that cell. No NPCs or leveled lists were altered, so no other NPCs will be using these effects. Notes: Since the vanilla effect is changed, the attacks Mehrunes Dagon makes will have the same visuals, and work off the same resistances as the changed effect. This may be a minor issue to some during the end stages of the game, but you aren\'t really supposed to run over and attack him anyway. I have not tested this part, so would be open to feedback. This is a test mod only in the sense that it is testing the application of changes like this to a magic effect. The end result of this test will be knowing if I should include these changes as part of The Colored Rooms project. This mod is complete and fully working. Your feedback is appreciated.
