📋 About This Mod
Name: Combat Timescale Version: 1. 1 Date: 8 June 2009 Category: Gameplay Effects and Changes Requirements: Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) Author(s): kuertee Source: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8471 Upgrade suggestion: =================== My Auto-save and time mod (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22136) is a full-featured mod that has its own variable TimeScale component. I recommend its use over this. However, this mod is suitable to players that need only a simple TimeScale switcher when moving in and out of combat. Updates since last release, 1. 0 (25 December 2006): =================================================== 1. 1, 8 June 2009: Bug-fix/tweak: Previously, \"out-of-combat\" TimeScale can never be changed after Combat Timescale has detected and saved it when it was first activated. Fixed now. (This bug/feature has become more prominent now that players see the value in variable TimeScales - which was not the case when this mod was first released.) Incompatibility list: Now that variable TimeScale is accepted as an immersive aspect of the game, I\'ve removed this note from the Incompatibility section: \"None I know of. But it will be incompatible with mods that change Timescale WHEN combat starts. I don\'t know of any other mods that does this at this time.)\" and added: \"my Auto-save and Time mod, TheNiceOne\'s Real Sleep Extended, Tekuromoto\'s Time Manager\" Upgrade suggestion note: My Auto-save and time mod (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22136) is a full-featured mod that has its own variable TimeScale component. I recommend its use over this. However, this mod is suitable to players that need only a simple TimeScale switcher when moving in and out of combat. Description =========== Halves the Timescale during combat. Then reverts it back to what it was after combat. Details ======= For those who use sleep and eat/drink mods and think that combat shouldn\'t affect these needs as much as traveling. I use my Eat and Sleep mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24605. Just before it changes the Timescale, it saves it so that it can restore it after combat. This should be compatible with mods that change the Timescale. OBMM Install ============ 1. Copy OMOD file to (install folder)\\Oblivion\\obmm\\omod\\ 2. Start Oblivion Mod Manager. 3. Double-click the name of the mod in the right-hand side of the OBMM screen. (icon should turn blue) 4. Load order doesn\'t matter. Uninstall ========= 1. Start Oblivion Mod Manager. 2. Double-click the name of the mod in the right-hand side of the OBMM screen, click Yes. (icon should turn green) Incompatibility =============== These mods have its own combat Timescale component: my own Auto-save and time mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22136 TheNiceOne\'s Real Sleep extended Tekuromoto\'s Time Manager Known Issues or Bugs ==============

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Slows down combat, giving you more time to react and plan.
- Tiny mod, no bloat, does exactly what it says.
- Works for any playthrough where you want more tactical fights.
⚠️ Cons
- Old mod from 2009, might not be compatible with newer game versions or other mods.
- Only 12 endorsements, so it's not widely tested or supported.
- Limited to halving timescale—no customization or options.
This is for players who find combat too fast and want a bit more breathing room to line up shots or dodge. It's also for modders looking for a simple timescale tweak to build upon.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're on a newer version of the game, you might need to manually adjust the timescale value in the mod's script to get the desired effect.
- Pair this with a combat overhaul mod to really change the feel of battles.
