📋 About This Mod
Better Nightsky v1. 2 by Omicron- aka AnnoyedOne http://omicron-.deviantart.com/ ============================ BETTER NIGHTSKY v1. 2 README ============================ >>>About This mod replaces the default textures for the two moons Masser (the big moon) and Secunda (the small moon) with new textures. The ugly black borders around the original moons have been removed on ALL the texture sets in this mod. The mod also replaces the old nebula texture with a new more detailed one. >>>Installation: 1. Choose your moon texture set (Original, Enhanced, Set 1, Set 2). previews of each set are located in the previews folder. 2. Open folder corresponding to your chosen set and copy \'Data\' folder into your Oblivion main directory. Select \'Yes to all\' if asked whether you wish to overwrite. 3. If you wish to install the enhanced nebula, simply repeat the above with the \'Data\' folder in the \'Enhanced Nebula\' folder. 4. Load the game and enjoy! To unistall simply delete the files added by the mod. NOTE: you can, of course, mix and match the different moons by taking all the relevant secunda files from one set and all the relevant masser files from another. >>>Compatibility Issues There should be no compatibility issues with any mods other than obviously ones that affect the moon or nebula textures. >>>Version History v1. 2 - 5th April 2006 -Improved texture of Earth-like Secunda from New Moons Set 2 -Improved texture of Gas-like Secunda from New Moons Set 1 -Addition of Enhanced Nebula -Minor Tweaks v1. 0 - 2nd April 2006: INITIAL RELEASE -Removal of \'black borders\' on moons -Addition of Original Moons -Addition of Enhanced Moon Textures -Addition of New Moons Set 1 -Addition of New Moons Set 2

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 3,096 endorsements and over 126k downloads.
- Simple texture replacement—no gameplay changes, just better moons.
- Lightweight and easy to install for Oblivion players.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008—may not be compatible with newer mods or patches.
- Only affects the two moons, so if you want a full sky overhaul, this isn't it.
For Oblivion players who want a quick visual upgrade to the night sky without overhauling the whole game. If you're a modder looking for a simple texture replacer, this is a solid pick. Skip if you want more comprehensive sky changes or if you're playing a heavily modded setup that might conflict.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place the texture files in your Oblivion Data folder, or use a mod manager like Oblivion Mod Manager for easy toggling.
- Since it's a texture replacer, load order doesn't matter much, but if you have other moon mods, put this one last to ensure it takes effect.
- Back up the original moon textures if you want to revert, but the mod is small and easy to reinstall.
