📋 About This Mod
v1. 1: Added Bedrolls to traders and pawnbrokers across Cyrodiil. Tested with the Copious Coinpurse in the Imperial City Market District, but they should be available at any trader or pawnbroker. Bedrolls is exactly what its namesake implies: It adds Bedrolls to the Oblivion game world. Or rather, it makes the existing Bedrolls movable. That is to say, you now have the option of picking up a sleeping bag and taking it with you, so that you can go anywhere and use it to sleep (not just \"wait\") anywhere you would otherwise be allowed to. (For instance, you can\'t sleep in combat, or while trespassing, or other standard no-no\'s. I don\'t know if that\'s possible or not, as my goal was not to change the rules, but simply add more functionality and realism to the existing ones.)
Bedrolls adds bedrolls to traders and pawnbrokers across Cyrodiil, allowing players to buy them instead of relying on loot. This small, dated mod (last updated 2008) is for Oblivion players who want a convenient way to acquire bedrolls for camping or resting. With 567 endorsements, it has a modest following.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 567 endorsements and over 25k downloads.
- Simple, practical addition for players who want to buy bedrolls instead of hunting for them.
- Works with any trader or pawnbroker, so you're not limited to one location.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008 — likely outdated and may have compatibility issues with modern Oblivion setups.
- Only adds bedrolls to merchants; doesn't change any other gameplay mechanics.
For Oblivion players who enjoy camping or resting on the go and want a reliable way to buy bedrolls. It's a quality-of-life tweak for those who prefer shopping over scavenging. Skip if you're looking for new items or gameplay overhauls — this is purely a merchant inventory addition.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod is from 2008, consider using a mod manager like Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) to ensure proper installation and load order.
- Check if you have any mods that alter merchant inventories, as they might conflict with this one — load Bedrolls after them.
- If you're using the Steam or GOG version of Oblivion, make sure to enable mods in the launcher and consider using the Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) for stability.
