How to Use
NEW AS OF 2. 1. 0 - Now supports using EditorIDs in addition to FormIDs
NEW AS OF 1. 5. 0 - More patterns to match against as well as specific pattern matching
-
[]PatternType - The type of record to check against, currently supports Cell, EditorID, Race, Class, Faction, Item, Name, Mod, Worldspace, Region, Keyword. Cell can also apply only to objects in dungeons if written like Cell:Dungeon[/]
[]PatternToLookFor - A word/part of a word or specific formID to compare against when deciding what objects to swap. Both the formID and strings can be used here. 'Mod' will compare to the file name the object comes from. A hyphen/minus sign will do the opposite and apply to every object except those that match the pattern. You can also use a comma to distinguish separate conditions that will be evaluated individually. [/]
NEW AS OF 1. 3. 0 - Conditional swaps now support pattern matching for specific cell names (requires MessageLogger)! For example, if you want to swap all of a specific item only in Chorrol, you can use:
Or if you want to swap in all cells except Bravil:
Or if you want to swap items only in Houses and Caves you could do somet

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid download-to-endorsement ratio (19,772 downloads, 169 endorsements) shows real usage.
- Config-file approach means no hardcoded edits—modders can tweak swaps easily.
- Recent update (Feb 2026) suggests it's still maintained.
⚠️ Cons
- Low endorsement count (169) compared to downloads—maybe niche or underappreciated.
- No detailed documentation provided—you'll need to figure out config syntax yourself.
- Requires OBSE, so it's not for vanilla purists.
For Oblivion modders who want to dynamically swap objects or references without manual plugin edits. If you're a player looking for ready-made content, this is a framework, not a content mod—skip unless you're building something.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure OBSE is installed and your game is launched through OBSE loader, or the mod won't activate.
- Start with a simple config file to test swapping a single object before building complex setups.
- Check the mod's forum or comments for user-created config examples—the description doesn't include any.
