📋 About This Mod

Overhauls the existing Bandit, Marauder, and Conjurer Factions into separate distinct gangs and orders.

Have you ever noticed that the bandits of Cyrodiil are seemingly united under one banner? The Conjurers? The Marauders? Sure, all 3 hate each other by default but if Billy-Bob Joe from Sage Glen Hollow meets Billy-Bob John from Fort Sejanus, they're instant best friends that talk about how much they hate mudcrabs. It's very unrealistic and unimmersive in my humble opinion.

I've played Oblivion since late 2006. Started modding in late 2009. One of the first mods I ever made but never released (because I, at the time, didn't know how to go about doing that) was bandit gang mods. The bandits of The Elder Scrolls universe always interested me because it was untapped territory. They were simple in scope, but fun to get involved with. Well, fast forward to 2024. I started the series, Bandit Gangs. But I canned it because of some issues that I couldn't resolve. Fast forward to 2025 and I got started on an AIO mod that contains 26 different, distinct bandit gangs and conjurer orders that inhabit the land.

Welcome to Bandit Gangs - A Bandit Overhaul Mod.

This mod completely does away with the vanilla Bandit, Conjurer, and Marauder Factions and, instead, replaces them with 26 different factions with varying equipment, agendas, and races. From the organized and disciplined 9th Legion to the primitive and bloodthirsty Xan-Xyraxia, with territory and politics and more! Some gangs will outright be battling each other for land, while others might just keep to themselves and only cause trouble if you go seeking it. But if one thing is for certain, these gangs do not tolerate any misgivings and, since you're probably loaded with gear and coin, they'll want what you have.

Mod Features:

  • []

    26 differing bandit gangs and conjurer orders now dot the land, each with their own agenda and racial makeup. You will not see Imperials in the Xan-Xyraxia or Orcs in The Sword Collective!

    • []

      Bandits and Conjurers have LOOT! The loot depends on their type: Mages will often have magic-related stuff for example. It's actually worth hunting these fools now.

      ]
      • []

        Bandits and Conjurers now have a small chance at having an enchanted item on their persons.

        [/
        ]
        • []

          Bandits and Conjurers no longer spawn with high-tier equipment. No longer will they look like they raided Oblivion gates or Elven convoys. They will now only spawn with Iron, Steel, Chainmail, Fur, or Leather gear. Of course, this depends on the faction and your level, with Chainmail being the highest tier a bandit can potentially spawn with. Weapons go as high as Steel, but The Sword Collective can spawn with Silver as their highest tier.

          • []

            Boss Fights! Bandit and Conjurer factions now have leaders hidden in the world. Find them and destroy them for high-tier, and sometimes unique, rewards! But be careful, they will use these potential rewards against you and they will USUALLY have bodyguards.

            [/
            ]
            • []

              Doggies! Bandits and Conjurers now utilize dogs more often than vanilla does. Of course, they're still a weak threat. But they can be nuisance if you're not vigilant.

              [/
              ]
              • []

                Diversity! Each gang is diverse (for the most part), and rarely will you encounter the same bandit twice in the same room. Of course, it can happen from time to time, but it won't happen often.

                [/
                ]
                • []

                  Bandits and Conjurers are no longer united under one banner! All gangs and orders hate each other, and some are even engaged in outright warfare. You may find, when exploring, that some hideouts may be contested by opposing factions.

                  • []Compatibility with my Daedra United and Conjurer Series and guinefort1's Molag's Minions mod! This mod doesn't affect the level lists that those edit, so you can see Daedra from those mods being utilized by the Conjurers from this mod![/]

                      Lore, lore, lore! At the Arcane University, a Dark Elf named Nethal wanders about. He is known as The Bandit Scholar, and will teach you about each gang and order if you're so inclined as to learn.

                      ]

                      []

                      There is a book in the world you can buy from bookstores that can teach you about the gangs, or you can get it straight from the source - Nethal the Bandit Scholar!

                      [/]

                      [*]Bandit Patrols! Bandits will patrol their territory very vehemently! T
