📋 About This Mod
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION! NOTICE: THE KNOWN ISSUES SECTION HAS BEEN UPDATED AGAIN. 0. Table of Contents =================== 1. Details 2. Requirements 3. Stats/Abilities/Powers 4. Installation 5. Uninstallation 6. Incompatibility 7. Known Issues 8. History 9. Contact 10. Credits 11. Tools Used 12. Licensing/Legal 1. Details ========== This mod adds four new playable races to Oblivion: Arcane Elves, Arcane Dark Elves, Arcane High Elves, and Arcane Red Elves. This mod also adds seventy-two hairstyles (each made by idkrrr) as well as 20 new eyes for the Arcane Elves. This mod also includes three tattoo options: Birthmark (default), Designer (black tattoos), and No Tattoos. 2. Requirements =============== MaleBodyReplacerV4: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14942 FemaleBodyReplacerV12: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15624 Since these are custom races you will need to install a mod that allows you to pass the tutorial with a custom race such as Custom Race Fix (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815) or the Unofficial Oblivion Patch (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5296). Please note that if you are going to install a mod of which is not the Unofficial Oblivion Patch then you will need to install a mod that allows you to complete the Boethia Shrine quest such as Boethia Shrine Custom Race Fix (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3500). Of course, if you do not plan to attend the Boethia Shrine quest then you don\'t need the Boethia Shrine Custom Race Fix. But I recommend you get it anyway just in case you change your mind. Alternatively, you can install a mod of which allows you to start a new game somewhere other then the prison such as Alternative Start Arrive By Ship (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11495). 3. Stats/Abilities/Powers ========================= Before I get started on the details I feel that it is important for you to know that all of the hair files from the Corean, Saram, and Sulhwa mods have been renamed (in and out of the construction set) to avoid conflicts with other mods that use the same files. The following stats are the default ones and they apply to both male and female: Str: 35 Int: 50 Wil: 50 Agi: 30 Spd: 35 End: 35 Luc: 50 Pers: 35 Total: 320 Blade: +5 Blunt: +5 Block: +5 Light Armor: +5 Conjuration: +5 Mysticism: +10 Alteration: +10 Total: 45 To be honest, I was in a rush while I was making the above stats. The Arcane Elves were original intended to be combat elves with some potential in magic. Now that I have calmed down I have taken the time to give the stats an overhaul. But, in case you like the original stats, I did not replace the original .esp file. Instead, I have released an optional .esp file which contains the changed stats. The following stats are the optional ones and they apply to both male and female: Str: 40 Int: 50 Wil: 35 Agi: 35 Spd: 35 End: 40
Adds four new playable races to Oblivion: Arcane Elves, Arcane Dark Elves, Arcane High Elves, and Arcane Red Elves. A niche cosmetic mod with 35 endorsements, last updated in 2009.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives you four new race options to mess around with.
- Small but dedicated following (35 endorsements).
- Old-school mod from 2009—works with classic Oblivion setups.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2009—might have issues with newer Oblivion versions or mods.
- No screenshots or detailed features in the description, so you're going in blind.
- Only 35 endorsements—this is a niche pick, not a community favorite.
For Oblivion players who want fresh race options without overhauling the game. If you're a completionist or roleplayer looking for new character variety, this could add some spice. Skip if you want lore-friendly or well-documented content—this is a bare-bones addition.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a race mod, make sure to place the files in your Oblivion Data folder and enable the .esp in the launcher.
- If you're using a mod manager like OBMM or Wrye Bash, you can install it with a click—just watch for conflicts with other race mods.
- Test the new races in character creation to see if they have any visual glitches before committing to a playthrough.
