📋 About This Mod
Revises all creature stats, removes sketchy edits, and scripts from AL Monster Revisited for a more lightweight and playable experience. Also visually overhauled.
NOTE
I discovered that several of the monsters from this mod are from other video games. The majority of which are from a Korean MMO called Aion.
I honestly don't like adding things from other games into Oblivion. At least I don't like doing it if 1: I didn't actually know the asset was originally from another game & 2: I didn't even play the game that the model originated from. I probably would have never originally downloaded AL Monster if I knew the models were all ripped from other games, but by the time I found this out, I had already grown very attached to the mod, so I am stuck with it.
Here's the original sources of the models, that I have found so far. If you find any more, please let me know:
Maiden Statue - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Arcane Lich - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Tesnion - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Elder Spectre - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Dire Bear - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Turtle Prince - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Devilion - ????
Mummy Blader - ???
Dark One - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Void Knight - ??? Did manage to find this model on a free models site, but no source listed
Reaper - The Dungeons of Ivellon (lol how'd this get here)
Bone Flayer - The Dungeons of Ivellon (lol how'd this get here)
Anubis - Custom. Its an Anubis head from anubis Helmet by tyokio placed on the Arcane Lich's body.
Mummy - A Counter Strike mod maybe? I found images of it on a few Counter Strike sites.
Dahaka - Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Nether Lord - ???
Abyss Marshall - ???
Mummy Lord - ???
Mandurib - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Corn The Overgrown - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Dire Tiger - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
Dire Boar - Aion: The Tower of Eternity
So AL Monster Revisited adds a lot of great looking monsters to Oblivion's leveled lists. I was very excited the first time I installed it,
until I actually played the game...
Every enemy seemed to have really high reflect damage, to the point where I thought something was wrong with the game.
Then I shot a fireball at a Turtle Prince and immediately dropped dead from all the reflect damage. I quit the game and uninstalled it.
Months later, when I was more patient and had learned more about Oblivion modding, I returned and gave the mod an overhaul.
Upon examining the files, I discovered many things:
Unfortunately, the creatures have crazy amounts of reflect damage, extremely high stats,
and insane scripted abilities that do things like immediately delete hundreds of health points from you while simultaneously summoning an entire mob of minions that can all one shot you.
It also contains other weird edits, like moving trolls into the "undead" faction, giving the Adoring Fan a full set of Legion
