Unlimited Shop Investments

You can now invest 500 gold as many times as you would like to permanently increase the available gold of a merchant.

This provides a slightly more realistic way to increase available merchant trading gold where you must 'earn' it by paying for the increased amount yourself. It also gives you control over which NPCs will have increased trading gold.

!! WARNING !!

This mod will permanently increase the invested amount in a merchant on your save should you choose to invest beyond the initial 500 gold - even after removal of the mod!

If you want to return to a vanilla state afterwards you will need to manually reset the merchants invested gold using the console command SetInvestmentGold targeting the merchant you want to reset. Using console commands will disable achievements unless you use mods that unblock achievements.

If this makes you uncomfortable please do not install this mod.

With the warning aside...

Compatibility:

This will work with mods that modify merchants base gold amount (e.g. Wealthy Vendors and Increased Merchant Gold), allowing you to even further increase a merchants available gold.

Additional notes:

This mod does not change when investments are available to you. You must still meet the regular mercantile level of 75 to do investments.

Install:

• []Unzip the archive and drop the esp into the data folder: "~\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data"

  []Add "UnlimitedShopInvestments.esp" to your Plugins.txt

  Uninstall:

  • []Remove "UnlimitedShopInvestments.esp" from your Plugins.txt

    []Delete "UnlimitedShopInvestments.esp" from the data folder: "~\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data"

    []To reset a merchant's investments back to a vanilla state:

  • []Go to the cell with the merchant you want to reset (alternatively you can look up the NPC reference id to save you a trip)

    []Open console

    []Click on the merchant you want to reset (i.e. bring them into focus/make them your console target)

  • Use the SetInvestmentGold command: SetInvestmentGold 500
