Lossless In Game Soundtrack (.wav to .wem)

I have created a mod that replaces Jeremy Soule's vanillla soundtrack files (which were originally lossly compressed at 192kbps) to 16bit/44. 1 quality files straight from the 2025 Steam Soundtrack. These have been converted from wav to wem using the tool from the audiokinetic site and packaged in a .pak file for easy installation.

I have made sure these are true lossless by analyzing with Spek (there are quite a few lossy transcodes of the soundtrack floating around).

the folder structure i used inside the pak file is OblivionRemastered/Content/WwiseAudio/Media/(wem. files). here is the guide i followed when creating the pak file for music

Credit is given to negisensei for his guide on renaming the audio files appropriately. This can be considered a lossless and untweaked version of his mod. Here is his guide for renaming the files incase anybody would like to do the same.

Vortex Installation: installs the mod automatically to the right location.

Manual installation: this should be dropped into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods\

This mod is helpful for further audio related tweaks on the engine side.

UPDATE: There are now two versions included. The recommended file is the 2025 soundtrack remastered by Beth/Virtuos. These are from the wav files that i own on steam for the remasters deluxe and didn't even know existed lol. The other is a version with the 2006 OG wavs from the cd which were mastered quieter. Besides volume i think they mostly similar sonically speaking. both unaltered and CD quality. I do remember the music being quieter with oldblivion when I played it a long time ago so it makes sense.

This is the first mod Ive put effort into for the citizens of Tamriel so i am open to feedback. Besides the quirks of the use of .pak files by the remaster this is a pretty simple mod and is safe to switch out mid game.
