Loot Glow

Loot Glow is an OBSE64 plugin for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered that highlights loot containers based on what is inside them. Valuable containers should be easier to notice at a glance without opening every chest, coffin, barrel, sack, or crate.

Loot Glow does not change loot, leveled lists, item values, container contents, or gameplay balance. It only adds visual shader effects to qualifying containers.

Features

Glow Priority

Loot Glow uses one visual category at a time.

Priority order:

• []Unique/artifact item[/]

  []Insane value tier[/]

  []High value tier[/]

  []Medium value tier[/]

  []Low value tier[/]

  []Lockpick[/]

  []No glow[/]

For example, a container with both a unique item and lockpicks will use the Unique glow. A container with valuable loot and lockpicks will use the value-tier glow.

Value Tiers

With the default settings:

• []Low: 50+ gold[/]

  []Medium: 100+ gold[/]

  []High: 300+ gold[/]

  []Insane: 1000+ gold[/]

Loot Glow chooses the highest matching tier.

The Insane tier uses a built-in accent shader by default for a stronger visual effect.

Unique / Artifact Items

Loot Glow includes a built-in list of known unique and artifact item FormIDs. Containers with one of these items use the Unique glow before normal value tiers are considered.

This helps catch special items that may have unusual, misleading, or low monetary values but are still meaningful loot.

Lockpick Glow

Lockpick containers can receive their own glow.

Lockpick glow only applies when the container does not already qualify for a Unique or value-tier glow.
