Infinite Torches (Torches Last Forever)

In version 1. 1 of this mod, I had the torch 'time' value modified to last 999999999 seconds - this number was apparently too large for the Oblivion engine to handle, so it defaulted back to the standard ~16 minute time value. This is why some users in the comments section reported that the mod wasn't working.

In version 2. 0, this number has now been updated to 86400 seconds (24 hours), and it is now working as intended.

Makes torches last forever. In the vanilla game, all torches eventually die out after some cumulative amount of use. Also included is an optional version of the mod that both makes torches last forever and increases their light radius, effectively making them brighter. Choose one or the other, not both.

↣  Installation  ↢

Install with your mod manager, or extract the contents of the archive into the following folder:

Steam & Gamepass: "...\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data"

If installing manually, add the corresponding ESP entry to your 'plugins.txt' file in the above folder. For 'Infinite Torches', add 'InfiniteTorches2.esp'. For 'Infinite Torches Brighter', add 'InfiniteTorchesBrighter2.esp'.

Only install one version of the mod - either Infinite Torches, or Infinite Torches Brighter. You don't need both. If you have a suggestion or need assistance, feel free to leave a comment in the 'posts' section on this page. The mod should be compatible with everything.
