Description

This mod implements simple, vanilla-friendly follow/wait commands for horses.

If you have ridden a horse, you will be granted a Horse Whistle power. Using the power when your horse is nearby will swap it between wait and follow modes. If your horse is further away, it will teleport to you and start following you. All changes in follow/wait state are complete with sound effects.

You cannot summon your horse whilst in cities, the realm of Oblivion, and some other locations where it would not be logical to do so.

Installation

• []Navigate to your Steam\SteamApps\common folder.

  []Add the .esp file in the download to the \Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder.

  []Open the plugins.txt file in the \Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\ folder.

  []At the bottom of the file, add the line Horse Whistle.esp

  Reverse the above steps.

  Compatibility/Known Issues

  This mod does not modify any vanilla records, so will be compatible with everything. It only affects vanilla horses.

  Since the Remaster used string localisation, and modders don't know how to interact with this system yet, all strings in the mod will be prefixed with . This will probably fixed as we learn more about the game, but you'll have to live with it for now.
