Mashed up/new~ish hairstyles with cloth physics.

FEATURES

• []Swaps the short bangs + braided buns hairstyle with new edited ones.

  []Uses Unreal Engine 5's Chaos Cloth physics in places where applicable.

  []currently only for BT1/female humans and elves (will do male versions once adding new hairstyles is figured out!)

  HAIRSTYLES

  • []Half-up half-down casual bun

  []Low ponytail with bangs

  []High ponytail with tucked strands

  []Straight long loose

  NOTES

  • []Yes, they all replace the same hair so you can only install one main file. I'm sorry.

    []Morphs/length slider does not affect areas with cloth physics (UE limitation) - There are still forehead morphs, though!

    []Performance hit should be less than 1fps- around 0. 30ms according to UE.

    []Physics are not enabled in the inventory screen, and graphics settings do not enable/disable it.

    []In screenshots, "Effects" quality is on High to make hair rendering softer.

  • This mod uses chunk 99. I'm not sure if chunk numbers are incompatible with each other, etc. idk

  INSTALLATION

  Choose one main file to replace the vanilla hairstyle. Fine to install mid-game.

  If using a mod manager, please install using it.

  Otherwise, place all files in...

  Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods

  You can use RaceMenu Utilities to console command hair onto your character, if you don't want to open ShowRaceMenu and lose your skills.

  Q: Can you make ___?

  A: Probably not. If I want to match visual fidelity/art style, it's a lot of effort. I'm busy atm.

  Q: Why replace the updo with bangs?

  A: My criteria to replace a hairstyle: Unique elf/human mesh, not unisex, not used by NPCs.

  The hairstyles I've made do not have LODs, so there would be a performance impact otherwise.

  Q: Why not add new hairstyles in the menu? This mod exists.

  A: It be do. However, hairstyle selection is also linked to the UI- it's not as easy to add hairstyles to the 'list' as it is in OG-blivion, as it didn't have icons. Currently waiting to see how this pans out!
