MEGAN Exosuit AI Voice

This new voice pack replaces the default, harsh exosuit A. I. voice in the game with a new A. I. named MEGAN, performed by voice actress Dacey Else. After posting the job on voices.com and receiving 67 voice actor applications and demos, Dacey was my first choice!

Manual Installation

As of version 2. 0 of this mod, which is compatible with the NMS Beacons 5. 71 update and newer, you must install this mod manually. To do that, simply extract the contents of the MeganExosuitAI.zip file into your No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS or No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS folder and delete or rename the No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\DISABLEMODS. TXT file.

NOTE ABOUT GAME UPDATES

  Please remember that you have to RE-DELETE your 'C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\DISABLEMODS. TXT' file whenever Steam installs a new game version!

The reason is that the No Man's Sky installer recreates that file every time it installs a new version, which disables all mods again. If you deleted that file correctly, you should see a "You are running a modded version of No Man's Sky" screen pop up every time you start No Man's Sky. If you don't, it means you need to (re-)delete that file, or the mod is not installed to the correct folder.

• []None. However, you can only have one custom exosuit voice mod installed at a time.

  Known Limitations

  • []There are a few callouts that cannot be replaced due to a bug in No Man's Sky, but those are rare.

  • Due to a limitation in how the game lumps all SFX sounds, including exosuit voice callouts, through a single volume setting ("SFX" in the game's audio settings), the new callouts are not quite as loud as I would like, but I boosted each callout's level as much as possible using an audio compressor in Adobe Audition when creating the mod.
