Description

The crashed freighter may look worth exploring when you see it for the first time, but when you approach your second crash site, you realize you don't really need to find the loot - it's right there in the exact same spot. It turns collecting loot from the freighter into a mindless grind.

This mod aims to change that a bit... The containers are procedurally placed! When you approach a new crash site you may actually need to use the scanner to find your loot! ... So go do some exploring... and the same goes for the underwater crashed freighter site.

Install

Unzip the mod and place the full folder into {NMS Install Folder}\GAMEDATA\MODS (not PCBANKS). Create MODS folder if necessary.

If the mod(s) still doesn't work, delete the mod settings file {NMS Install Folder}\Binaries\SETTINGS\GCMODSETTINGS. MXML and try again.

◈ The LUA isn't used by the game directly. It's an aid for merging with other mods, using AMUMSS, or modding yourself. If you don't do either, you can safely ignore it.
