📋 About This Mod
✅ Updated for Worlds Part II
✅ Patch mod - Likely to work well with other Patch and Replacement mods
=== What is this?
Let's say you like being within reach of the galactic core, but you'd like to stay in your current galaxy for now.
Let's also say you just started out. Fancy spending who knows how much time just warping over and over to get there? I certainly didn't, and every other mod addressing this issue was long dead, so I made this one.
This mod bumps the base hyperdrive's range from a measly 100 LYs to a cozy 700000, so you can shave off the bulk of that distance and get reasonably close to the core. Or you can jump across the galaxy in 5 minutes instead of 5 weeks, if that's your thing.
The galaxy map's speed has been tweaked accordingly. You'll move around normally at the same speed as ever, but boosting (LSHIFT by default) will send you zipping forward really fast.
You may want to look away from the screen while you're boosting through the map, especially if you're in a dark room. All those colors changing so quickly won't be too friendly to your eyes.
Once you've stopped, the stars may take a while to load. The game doesn't expect you to move that fast.
=== Installation
1) Extract the .zip wholesale into <game folder>\GAMEDATA\MODS.
2) Make sure that "DisableAllMods" is set to "false" in <game folder>\Binaries\SETTINGS\GCMODSETTINGS. MXML

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge time saver—cross the galaxy in minutes instead of weeks (301 endorsements)
- Simple install: just extract to MODS folder and disable mods in settings
- Works as a patch, so it's likely compatible with other mods
⚠️ Cons
- Boosting through the map can be disorienting and may cause eye strain in dark rooms
- Stars may take a while to load after stopping due to the extreme speed
- Only affects base hyperdrive—other drives may still have vanilla range
For No Man's Sky players who want to reach the galactic core or travel long distances without grinding warp cells. Also for those who want a quick way to explore distant regions. Skip if you prefer vanilla progression or don't mind long warp journeys.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure 'DisableAllMods' is set to 'false' in GCMODSETTINGS.MXML, or the mod won't work.
- When boosting on the galaxy map, look away from the screen to avoid eye strain from rapid color changes.
- After stopping, give the game a moment to load stars—it's not used to moving that fast.
