Nioh2PerfectGuard

Description

Press Guard just before an attack lands to trigger a Perfect Guard. A successful Perfect Guard negates the block's Ki cost, restores Ki and cancels guard recovery, allowing you to follow up with movement, attacks or dodges sooner.

The default timing window is 250 milliseconds. Holding Guard does not refresh it: release and press again to open a new window. Use your assigned in-game Guard control; keyboard/mouse and remapped controller controls are supported.

This mechanic is independent of native parry skills such as Backwave and Haze. No skill unlock is required.

Installation Instructions

1. Install Nioh 2 DLL Loader: https://www.nexusmods.com/nioh2/mods/671

2. Fully exit the game.

3. Copy the Mods folder from this archive into the directory containing nioh2.exe.

4. Launch the game normally through Steam. No Cheat Engine or external injector is required.

Installed DLL: Mods/PerfectGuardNative/Nioh2PerfectGuard.dll

To uninstall, exit the game and remove Mods/PerfectGuardNative.

Main features

• Perfect Guard: negate Ki consumption on a well-timed block.

• Ki recovery: Balanced mode restores 1/6 of your current maximum Ki; Fixed mode restores an amount you choose. Both respect the game's Ki cap.

• Guard recovery cancel: follow up earlier after a successful Perfect Guard.

• Configurable timing: adjust the window from 1 to 1000 milliseconds.

• Independent mechanic: no native parry skill required.

• Event-driven implementation: no continuous Ki-polling loop.

Configuration

Edit Mods/PerfectGuardNative/Nioh2PerfectGuard.ini, save and fully restart the game.

WindowMs=250 — Perfect Guard window in milliseconds.

RewardMode=Balanced — Restore 1/6 of current maximum Ki.

RewardMode=Fixed — Use the fixed reward below instead.

FixedRecovery=200 — Fixed reward in internal game Ki units; accepts 0–1000000, including decimals. Only used with Fixed mode.

CancelRecovery=1 — Enable guard recovery cancel. Set to 0 for Ki recovery only.

Enabled=1 — Enable the mod. Set to 0 to disable it.

Requirements

Windows Steam version of Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, version 1. 28. 8. Other versions are not guaranteed to work.

The loader is a separate download and is not included in this archive.

Bug reports

If you encounter a problem, post your weapon, stance and a short description in this mod's Bugs or Posts section. Include the text of Mods/PerfectGuardNative/Nioh2PerfectGuard.log or a share link, and your INI settings if relevant.

The log is generated automatically at startup. No diagnostic tools or shortcuts are needed during normal play. If no log is created, first check the DLL location and the mod loader.
