INTRODUCTION:

This mod adds a companion with many abilities and features, plus a modest player home, to the Fallout New Vegas world. Rescue Private Gilbert in Boulder City during the 'Boulder City Showdown' quest and she can become your companion.

You don't need to start a new game to have Wendy as a companion. If you have already done the 'Boulder City Showdown' quest before activating this mod, you can still have her as a companion:

1. If she survived the Showdown, she will either be at home or waiting outside the Boulder City Ruins, depending on where you are currently at when you activate the mod.

2. If she did not survive the Showdown, you can go to the terminal in her home, and activate her there. If this is too much of a stretch for your sense of realism, you can wait till a new game. You can still use the home.

3. A short mini-quest will guide you to where she is at.

4. In either event, she will act as if you just rescued her and the hiring dialog is enabled. You can use the home whether you hire her or not.

If she dies during the rescue, after this mod is loaded, you will need to reload a save and try again.

This mod disables and replaces the original Private Gilbert with a completely new and customized NPC.

Wendy doesn't care about any particular faction after being hired. She will be loyal to the player only. There are no karma requirements for hiring but if you fire her and are evil you need to pass a hard speech check to get her back.

If you do nothing else, at least talk to her and set her Tag skills after hiring her. That's the only setup required for those that prefer to 'set and forget'.

Uninstall the old version AND the optional plugins, then install the new ones. All plugins have major changes!!!

Added - Wendy is now fully voiced. Added 68 voice clips that were previously silent.

Changed - Replaced vanilla Private Gilbert with a new NPC base object so YUP doesn't revert her appearance.

Added - Wendy resumes following after end game if FPGE is installed (if she was following at the ending).

Added - Option for player XP reward for Wendy lockpicks and Hacks.

Added - Selectable XP reward percentage 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 of the gamesettings which map to the lock/terminal level.
