📋 About This Mod
Description
Applies tweaks to make the auto aim mechanic tolerable. So now you can have that little bit of help, without removing the mechanic completely.
Changes:
-
[]Increased fAutoAimMaxDistance from 1800 units to 999k. Stops long range shots from "disappearing" at certain ranges.
[
]Reduced fAutoAimScreenPercentage from 10% to 2%. Makes weapons more accurate without exposing the vanilla iron sight alignment bugs. - Reduced fAutoAimMaxDegreesMelee from 90 degrees to 45. Makes melee weapons a bit more accurate. Less likely to hit Rex in a knife fight.
This mod intentionally does not disable auto aim outright. There are iron sight alignment bugs with models of certain guns in vanilla, that will make you extremely inaccurate. Auto aim hides these bugs. If you'd prefer to disable auto aim completely, you'll want to use FAR - Full Auto-aim Removal and Vanilla Iron Sights Re-Alligned instead of my mod. The latter would be fine to run either way, but FAR is not compatible with this mod so you can consider it an alternative to mine.
Additionally, I strongly suggest both Consistent Spread + Physics' Based Spread ESPless in any load order to make long range shots more doable.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Pluginless setup means no plugin slot usage, which is nice for load order management
- Community-tested with 85 endorsements and 6k downloads, so it's got some traction
- Targeted fix for a common annoyance without overhauling the whole system
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2022, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches
- Requires Stewie Tweaks as a dependency, which adds an extra install step
- Only tweaks auto aim—if you want full control, this won't satisfy you
For players who find the default auto aim too erratic but don't want to disable it completely. If you're a purist who wants no aim assist, skip this—it's a middle-ground solution.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure Stewie Tweaks is installed and up to date before adding this mod, as it's required for the pluginless feature to work.
- Since it's pluginless, you don't need to worry about load order, but verify that Stewie Tweaks is active in your mod manager.
- If you're using a mod manager, install this mod after Stewie Tweaks to ensure proper file overwrites.
