Tammer's Guide to NIF-Bashing

DESCRIPTION

I get a lot of PMs from people either asking for help with using NifSkope or straight-up asking me to make stuff for them, and I was hoping that by releasing this guide, that it would help a lot of novice modders out there make cool stuff on their own. This is a step-by-step guide to my process, and it may not be the most efficient or elegant way to go about it, but it works for me, so I'm hoping it'll work for you too.

The archive contains a PDF copy of the guide, as well as the full-sized images that I used in creating it, since I had to shrink them down to fit an 8. 5x11 page and they may be hard to see in the document itself. To be honest, I was kind of rushing to get this out the door, so the layout isn't the greatest, but great care was put into ordering all the steps into a logical and easy-to-follow manner.

Alternatively, I've made a step-by-step video tutorial if you have two hours to spare:

There is also a video tutorial for making NIF-bashed armor and outfits:

If there's anything unclear in the guide, please feel free to leave a comment and I'll do my best to clear it up and/or update the guide as necessary. Comments are preferred over PMs, since comments are publicly accessible and will be able to help more people if they're having the same issue as you. I've done my best to use the most clear and descriptive language possible but if there's anything still too ambiguous or vague, please let me know. Good luck and happy modding!
