Super Resolution Guide

A PDF guide for using Super Resolution in Bethesda games: New Vegas, Fallout 3, Skyrim and Oblivion. Most well-made modern PC games support it.

NVIDIA has a technology called Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR), AMD calls it Virtual Super Resolution (VSR). It can be used in Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim. Many other games support it too. Your graphics card may support it.

VSR allows games to render at higher resolutions (up to 4K; see the ‘Virtual Super Resolution Support’ table, below) and then rescales them down to a lower native display resolution. Using this, you can get quality that rivals up to 4K, even on a 1080p display while playing your favorite games.

The main benefit of using a Super Resolution is that you can use it with low or no anti aliasing lowering the strain on the graphics renderer.
