📋 About This Mod

There is a new town in the Mojave Wasteland, made out of junk right up the side of a cliff. Buildings are reached by bridges and stairs. Think post-apocalyptic pueblo. It is called Skunkwater Gulch, and it appears to be a rundown dump, an apparent dumping ground for weirdos and outcasts, but also a beacon of novelty in an otherwise homogeneous wasteland. At first it seems normal enough, and they need help with simple, everyday things like helping the zombie guard his gecko pens, helping the malfunctioning robobrain get its original body back, and helping the alcoholic alien get his hands on the good stuff. Then it gets weird. Your character can find it in several ways: Stumble upon it by walking/fast travelling to Crescent Canyon East Follow the signs near the Nipton/Mojave Outpost forks. Find Stormy Weathers, the caravan operator, and she will give you a map marker. Once there, the usual RPG tropes (talk to people and learn about their problems) should lead you to further adventure. Such adventures include A run-in with religious zealots A runaway replicant Aliens, green and otherwise A new caravan A network of caves full of primitive creatures A market where you can buy anything including slaves... which you can rename at will Bounty Hunters you can fight, help, or mediate Numerous episodes of existential angst, including \\\"What does it mean to be human?\\\" and \\\"I think therefore I am.. right?\\\" Reuniting with old friends A few new weapons Several new followers A ton of new clothing and armors This mod is both a literal and spiritual successor to The Librarian - Orion\\\'s Gate, more specifically the Market Comes Alive addon for that mod. Some of the characters\\\' stories from that mod are continued. Neither of those mods are required in order to play this one, although it provides some background and couldn\\\'t hurt. So if you really wanted that chick with the tail to join your adventures you may yet get your wish. ============= This mod requires the 4 major New Vegas DLCs. It is very important that your load order look like this in order to avoid an issue with NPCs disappearing to the top of Black Mountain: FalloutNV.esm DeadMoney.esm HonestHearts.esm OldWorldBlues.esm LonesomeRoad.esm QSkunkwaterGulch.esm Other ESMs Rest of your esp load order merge patch ================ ============= There are some stories I wanted to tell, and some promises I broke when I did Market Comes Alive (buyable slaves, tail-chick follower... etc.) and I didn\\\'t want my town to look exactly like the rest of the game. I wanted it to feel different. There are a ton of modder\\\'s resources out there that don\\\'t really get used that much. Lastly, I had created several one off little mods and never released. All that together, and you get this mod. I have left what I hope are a lot of little tidbits for untold stories and I would welcome other modders picking these up. I have also left a special area that woul
