📋 About This Mod

UPDATE: Well, after many, many months of testing, re-testing, experimenting, procrastinating, and general dicking around, I've finally updated Skeletonizer to version 5. 0.

If you still have the older version and wish to update, I would highly suggest either un-installing the old one and installing this one on a new save, or waiting at least three in-game days to clean up any stray skeletonized corpses, maybe disabling/mark-for-deleting them as well.

WHAT'S NEW?

[]New Skeletons! All skeletons now have a charred black body with an appropriately-colored glowing effect, save for nuked skeletons, which are simply all charred.[/]

[]New Effects! All skeletonization/disintegration effects are now more visually impressive (in my opinion), with more vivid colors, brighter glowing auras, and even casting actual lights![/]

[]"Shock" weapons such as Tesla Cannons, LAERs, and Arc Welders now inflict a flashing "X-Ray" effect instead of a simple blue flame (if you are photosensitive, please use caution! I can make a patch for it if need be)[/]

[]The Alien Blaster now has its own unique effects, including a glowing blue goo pile left behind for crit kills![/]

[]Burning effect shaders have been slightly changed visually and should work more consistently.[/]

[]NPCs wearing Power Armor will not be skeletonized fully: Instead, their helmets will blow off and their heads will be skeletonized, while the rest of their body is left intact! Works with Titans of the New West, too![/]

[]Energy-based explosions still skeletonize, but their damage output is unchanged! For those who don't know, in the previous version, certain explosions such as nukes and plasma grenades were slightly changed so that instead of the explosion itself inflicting damage, they instead applied an unseen actor effect that damaged health directly. This was done so that enemies would be skeletonized by explosions without their limbs being dismembered, something that I did purely for aesthetic reasons (I prefer to see the skeletons appear fully intact instead of having severed limbs and meat chunks floating nearby). But it caused more problems than it solved and made the mod more complicated than it needed to be, so I rolled it all back to its normal state. I would prefer it not to dismember people but you can't have everything.[/]

[]And lastly, the player will also become skeletonized upon death via energy weapons! Now you too can get sent to The Bone Zone![/]

[*]UPDATE: A patch for EVE (Essential Visual Enhancements) is now available! NPCs killed via non-critical effects are still skeletonized (including new violet skeletons!), but all crit effects added by EVE are left intact. Certain weapons that EVE doesn't add crit effects to (basi
