Sit Down

Sit Down anywhere in the world!

Simply press the Sit key ("P") while not in combat to sit on the ground. Key is configurable in the INI.

Stand up by pressing the "Sit" key again, or by attempting to move.

  Quirks:

  The sit animation is not made for the player, and the full skeleton is rotated at about a 50 degree angle; I'm not really sure why. I tried to fix this with NifSkope, but doing so broke the animation for NPCs who use this, and on another attempt the actor's body was rotated in the world when sat down. So I do this in code instead, which means there is some delay in fixing the rotation.

  This means:

  • []The camera flickers when equipping an item in the Pip-Boy, as the animation is reset and then "fixed" again.

    []The camera is rotated after leaving the PIp-Boy for less than 1 second, and is then "fixed". This may be longer if using faster animations.

    []The camera is initially rotated when entering the Pip-Boy. This may be more noticeable if using faster animations.

    []Equipping an item outside of the Pip-Boy may leave the camera rotated for about a second, but it should fix it. Worst case, open/close the Pip-Boy again.

    []Camera's mouse rotation is off in First Person, and you can see your "neck stump" if turned all the way around.

  NOTE:

  If you use Enhanced Movement by Woooombat, then this is NOT an issue! That mod provides its own skeleton files, so the incorrect rotation is never applied from the "sit" animation.
