My Fallout NV mods are now as is. I can't troubleshoot any issues as I haven't played, nor modded, the game in a over a year. If you have issues with any of my mods, and you can't find an answer in the comments, it'd be best to ask on the Fallout NV Mods forum. There's likely people there who still play the game and can better help you.
Description: ========== Just a small tweak that drops the alcohol and chem wear-off effects from 6 seconds down to 2, so it doesn't obscure your vision for long. I always hated the time it took for chems to wear off, especially during combat.
Install: ===== Simply drop into your Data folder and activate the esp via FOMM or the Launcher. There are no other files.
Just to be on the safe side wait until all current chem and alcohol effects have worn off on your character before adding or removing this mod.
Conflicts: ========= None that I know of.

Last updated in 2010, it remains a lightweight option for vanilla-style gameplay.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-tested (427 endorsements) and widely downloaded (9,477) for a niche tweak
- Does exactly what it says—no bloat, just shorter withdrawal timers
- Ideal for players who hate waiting out chem penalties
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010—may not be compatible with modern mod setups or the latest patches
- No detailed instructions or compatibility notes provided by the author
- Only affects wear-off timers; doesn't address other addiction mechanics
For Fallout 3 players who find chem and alcohol withdrawal timers tedious and want a quicker return to normal gameplay. Skip if you're looking for deeper addiction overhauls or if you run a heavily modded load order where old mods might conflict.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like FOMM, just drop the file into your mods folder and activate it—no load order tweaks needed.
- Since this mod is from 2010, test it early in your playthrough to ensure it doesn't conflict with other gameplay mods you have installed.
- Pair it with a mod that reduces chem addiction chance if you want a more forgiving chem system overall.
