📋 About This Mod
Introduction: After watching a LP i noticed a bug that made perspective warp a little for a short time. Thing is that i like the look so i edited the base animation for rifle grip so the weapon doesn\'t seem so tiny. Look at the pictures to compare - world FOV is 75 1st person FOV is 60. Details: Animations ripped from extracting \'fallout - meshes.bsa\' modified in Blender using Nifscripts and tweaked in Nifskope. Fully compatible with other animation mods but overwrite with this after applying others # I\'m doing a playthrough currently and will tweak things as i encounter them from now on # Installation Details: Install with NMM OR dump file into: ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/2hraim.kf for bolt rifle aim (hunting) ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/2haaim.kf for auto rifle aim (plasma/service...) ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/1hpaim.kf for pistols aim ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/2haattack3.kf for firing rifles (single) ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/2haattackright.kf for firing rifles (auto-single) ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/2haattackloop.kf for firing rifles (auto) ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/1hpattackright.kf for firing pistols ..data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/1hpattackleft.kf for firing heavy pistols Future plans: I plan to make it when you sprint it switches to a lowered position as seen in the modern FPS games after i learn some nvse/gamebryo scripting. After, that is, i\'m happy with the regular animations, and there are alot of them.
Revised 1st person animations is a small animation mod that replaces rifle and pistol .kf files to make weapons feel more shouldered rather than at hip. It has 280 endorsements and was last updated in 2013, so it's an older mod that may still work for some players.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 280 endorsements
- Lightweight mod with just .kf files, easy to install
- Improves weapon feel for players who prefer shouldered aiming
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2013 — may be incompatible with current game versions
- Only covers rifles and pistols, no other weapon types
For players who want a more realistic shouldered weapon stance in first-person view. If you're a purist who likes vanilla animations, this might not be for you. Skip if you want a complete animation overhaul — this only tweaks rifles and pistols.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your original .kf files before replacing them so you can revert if needed.
- Check if your game version is compatible with 2013-era mods, as updates may have changed animation formats.
- Use a mod manager to easily enable/disable this mod without manual file swapping.
