📋 About This Mod
So, a couple years roll on, and we\'re down to a new Fallout. This time around, the sounds in Vanilla are much, much better. The sounds themselves are better, the design of how they work is better, general improvements all around. Obsidian has ears, unlike Bethesda, I suppose. However, that doesn\'t mean Obsidian\'s sounds can\'t be improved, at least for my own tastes. This is the result of a couple days of work, testing, converting, etc. It\'s by no means complete, but it should get the job done. I have plans to do the rest of the kinetic guns (At the moment I don\'t have sounds that can easily replace a couple of the slugthrowers), I plan on doing most of the energy weapons, and I plan to possibly make a side-release of the energy weapons, mostly for nostalgia\'s sake - you\'ll see when I get around to that. Again, for nostalgia\'s sake, most people should recognize the . 44 magnum\'s sound, I mixed something special there. Same with \"That Gun\", but that one might be more subtle since it\'s not quite as iconic. I also want to mention, that some of my sounds seem to have been incorporated in New Vegas itself, namely equip/unequip sounds (Although it\'s been honestly so long I can hardly remember if they come from Realistic Gunshot Sounds F3 or not), as well as possibly one or two of the ambiant sounds (I\'ve not checked those against what I\'ve put out yet). I just want to say, I\'m proud of that, and, as always, my sounds are free to use for whatever mods you like, don\'t even need credit. INSTALLATION: Just extract the Sound folder right in your New Vegas\\Data folder. You can also freely pick and chose if you like, that\'s up to you. CONTENTS: The following sounds are changed, denoted by contents of matching folder: Version 1 -FX --Bullet whizzes (Not currently perfected, needs more work at a later time) --Artillery explosions, distant and close --Grenade explosions, distant and close --Molotov breakage --Mininuke explosion -Guns (Be aware, some of these don\'t appear in the game itself, but I figure the animations are still in there, so I\'ve done them anyway) --9mm SMG ---Shooting ---Jam --10mm SMG ---Shooting ---Jam ---Reload --357 SAA ---Shooting (Including distant) --BB Gun ---Shooting --Grenade Launchers ---Shooting --La Longue Carabine ---Reload (Consistency with Cowboy Repeater) --Light Machine Gun ---Reload --Missile Launcher (Including distant) --32 Pistol ---Jam ---Reload --44 Magnum ---Shooting (Including distant) ---Jam ---Reload --9mm Pistol ---Shooting (Including distant) ---Jam ---Reload --10mm Pistol ---Shooting (Including distant) ---Reload (Magin, magout) ---Minor changes to jam and slide rack --Mauser Pistol ---Jam ---Reload --Anti-Material Rifle ---Shooting (Including distant) ---Chamber (Some people may be iffy about this one, since the gun uses hunting rifle reload sounds - as such, the chambering during shooting DOES NOT match the chamberi
