📋 About This Mod
I couldn\'t find this mod on the Nexus or anywhere else, so I decided to throw it together in a matter of minutes. It took one simple tweak in NifSkope, yet it\'s probably one of the most irksome clothing bugs (In my humble opinion, at least), and probably the only one I couldn\'t find a fix for. So, to those of you who loved the Ranger Gray Hat, that irritating clipping will no longer be an issue. Enjoy!
A simple bug fix for Fallout: New Vegas that resolves clipping issues with the Ranger Gray Hat, preventing player and NPC heads from poking through the front sides. Lightweight and easy to install, with a solid endorsement count for its niche purpose.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 572 endorsements and over 8,000 downloads.
- Does exactly what it says—no bloat, just a clean fix.
- Works for both player and NPCs, so no more immersion-breaking hats.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2011—might not be compatible with newer game patches or DLC.
- Only fixes one hat; if you use modded hats, this won't help.
- No screenshots or detailed install instructions provided by the author.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who love the Ranger Gray Hat but can't stand the head clipping through it. If you're a completionist or roleplayer who wants visual polish without gameplay changes, this is for you. Skip if you don't use that hat or prefer gameplay over cosmetics.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Drop the files into your Data folder and enable the mod in your launcher or mod manager.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or FOMM, just install the archive and activate it.
- Make sure to load this mod after any other hat mods to ensure the fix applies.
